It's perhaps not surprising that Norwich was named the best place to live in Vermont, according to Niche.com's 2017 rankings.
Niche based their rankings mostly on public schools, but also took into account other factors, like crime rate, higher education rate, family amenities, cost of living and outdoor activities.
Norwich, with a population of just under 3,500 was given an A plus grade, according to the website. Niche.com said Norwich's median home value was $437,000.
