Jr. Chef Camp with the Co-op

This is a cooking camp for ages 10-14.  This year's theme is European adventures.  Each day participants will pick a destination and make a dish representative of that country's cuisine.  Learn more here.

Splash Camp at the Aquatics Center

Siesta, Fiesta, Pinata is the theme for this February.  Full or half days are available. Ages 6-10.  Kids enjoy arts and crafts, playing in the splash park, swim lessons, animal exhibits, and puppet workshops.  Can I come too?  Learn more here

For the budding artist try AVA

There is an impressive selection of art classes to try during winter at AVA: wood, clay, and even welding.  During the winter break AVA offers classes for multiple age ranges: 5-8, 9-12, and teens. Younger kids can paint landscapes or make stories with art. Older kids can learn about kinetic scultpures and explore different art mediums, while teens can learn welding.   What a wonderful opportunity!

Explore Science at the Montshire

For kids gr. 1-3 learn about animal tracks, building with cardboard, engineering, and more.  Come to one or more days.  To learn more and register, click here.

More great camps

For teens Leb Park and Rec is offering day trips Monday - Thursday for grades 5 and up.  Try the Escape room in Concord, or enjoy winter sports skiing or tubing. The CCBA offers a camp for ages 4-7 where kids can swim, participate in arts and crafts, play in the gym, and more.  To learn more click here.  Attend one, some, or all days.  Unfortunately, the Hartford rec vacation camp is already full.

If you're never checked out the Aloha Center it's fabulous!  I went to the writing workshop one year: great food, great company, relaxing atmosphere, and a variety of workshops.  They are best know for their kids camps though.  They will be offering camps during February and April vacations for kids in grades K-6th grade.  Kids choos from a variety of indoor and outdoor activities like barn hockey, baking, snow painting, scavenger hunt, winter olympics and more.  I want to go!

Have another camp or February vacation activity to share? Let me know.
