French Tutoring and Private Lessons

Lebanon resident, and former Duke French Professor, Martha van der Drift PH.D., offers French tutoring and private lessons to French students and Francophiles in the Upper Valley under the name of Upper Valley French. She comes to the Upper Valley with 15-years of experience in high school and higher education, tutoring, and private lessons. 

She works with highschool-adults 75+  who wish to improve-refine their language skills. 

Fees: - $35.00/hour for "pure" tutoring sessions for high school/college students that do not require lesson preparation; this is for helping students with classes and exams.- $40-$45 private lessons for adults - dependent on level and tailor-made materials and interests. Free initial consultation.

Martha also volunteers with the Lebanon libraries by running a free French Film Series on 1st Wednesdays at Kilton Library from 6:30-8:00 pm, and a free conversation hour at the Lebanon Library on 3rd Thursdays at 5:00 pm. Their program and schedule can be found on the UVF website posts, and each event will be announced on the Lebanon Libraries website and Facebook page and the Upper Valley French website and Facebook page.
