We are excited to offer a third session of our Cooking for Middle Schoolers, an on-farm cooking program for kids ages 11-14
This eight-week program starts on Monday, January 22, and ends on March 12.
Participants will learn basics in kitchen safety, proper food handling, food preparation, nutrition, cooking and baking techniques, and presentation, through weekly themed classes.
This Winter, interested young chefs will have the opportunity to continue their culinary education and train as a part of a team for Jr Iron Chef VT.
This annual competition is hosted by VT-FEED in Burlington, March 17, 2018. (Note: Commitment to the competition is not required for participation in the session.)
This program will be co-taught by our Education Manager Eric Tadlock and our Kitchen Manager Theo Damaskos. To ensure safety and enjoyment for each student, class sizes are limited based on space and availability.
