S'more Skating Party. New Warming Hut. Lebanon NH

UPDATE: According to the Lebanon Department of Parks and Recreation, this event  has been postponed until Friday, January 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Two things can take the sting out of these frigid times: a warming hut, and s'mores.

The below-zero temperatures (about which everyone, including me, is posting on Facebook to show our California-and-elsewhere friends how hardy we are) will not last forever. You'll be itching to get outdoors. At the Pat Walsh Park in Lebanon NH, the ice rinks--two of them--are open for skating. (See comments below. Please add other Upper Valley skating locations if you’d like.)

The new warming hut

On Friday, January 12 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m, the S'more Ice Skating Party will celebrate the Grand Opening of the Warming Hut. The hut has been under construction for the past several months. Given the party's title and pictures of marshmallows on its poster, I am imagining that s'mores might be on offer.
