Interstate 91 southbound in Windsor closed temporarily due to crash scene
Injuries are not believed to be life-threatening
WINDSOR - The southbound lanes of Interstate 91 in Windsor were shut down around 6:45 p.m. Thursday because of a two-car crash at Mile Marker 54, Vermont State Police are reporting.
Windsor and Hartland firefighters are on the scene assessing three patients who were believed to only have minor injuries.
Initial reports from the scene indicated one car with New Hampshire plates was overturned beside the highway and the other four-door car with Massachusetts plates is facing the wrong-way in the passing lane.
A Golden Cross Ambulance crew is also on the scene assisting two Windsor Ambulances.
State Police reported that as of 7:10 p.m. one of the southbound lanes had been re-opened and traffic was passing slowly through the accident scene.
