Hanover is on Board, Brimming with Community Spirit
This afternoon, the angels and the elf visited Main Street in Hanover to spread good cheer, good news, and good vibes. In a whirlwind of holiday and charitable activity, the group marauded through the participating businesses on the New Hampshire side of the border. They distributed cookbooks, candies, signs, keychains, and smiles.
In addition to the businesses in Lyme, the area is proof that the 19 Days of Norwich and Beyond is becoming, more and more, about the "Beyond." Which, of course, means that the sense of community, of caring, of giving does not recognize artificial manmade borders. After all, does anyone believe that kindness is bound by geography? Of course not.
So, in this fifth year of the 19 Days, 1% of profits from every Lou's cruller, pair of tennis shoes from Game, Set, Mat, every rubber spatula from Main St. Kitchens, Skinny Pancake crèpe, every Nugget movie ticket or gift from the Lemon Tree or Indigo -- and many more -- goes to help our neighbors now and into 2018.
Tomorrow, well, as Traffic sings, "Who knows what tomorrow may bring?"
