Sullivan County Health Care Makes U.S. News & World Reportʼs Best Nursing Home Rankings
Ranks 11th out of 73 in NH
U.S. News & World Report has released a list in which Sullivan County Health Care ranked among the “11 best nursing homes” out of 73 in New Hampshire. U.S. News & World Report gathers its information from the U.S. governmentʼs Medicare website, where consumers can make informed nursing home choices.
Medicare ranks nursing homes by assessing results of: Health & facility inspections, staffing levels, data on medical care quality measures, fire safety inspections, any federal government enforcement actions taken and how well nursing home residents were treated in specific areas of care.
“We are extremely proud to say that Sullivan County Health Care currently holds a 5-Star Rating,” said a spokesperson with the facility.
Ted Purdy, the SCHC Administrator, and Patti Henderson, the Sullivan County Health Care Director of Nursing, said they attribute "these honors as a direct result of the care and services given by their staff – staff who are committed and strive on an ongoing basis to meet resident needs, every day."
Sullivan County Health Care is a 156-bed nursing facility in Unity, NH, licensed by Medicare and Medicaid, and provides post-acute nursing and rehabilitation, along with long term care services to the elderly and respite for their care givers, doing so at the trail head to the newly named Unity Mountain Trail, while surrounded by beautiful landscapes of rolling fields, an actively managed sugar bush and community gardens.
