When it comes to community, count WRJ in

Our daily post during the 19 Days of Norwich and beyond took us to White river Junction this afternoon. The rain was cold, but the community spirit was warm.

We asked shopkeepers why they were participating in the 19 Days. Their answers were poignant, honest, truthful. Check out what they're saying at Post: “We source products that give back to the community, so participating in the 19 Days was a natural progression.”

At Revolution, a woman told us, "We like to say 'Shop outside the box.' Reminding people to shop local doesn’t solve all the world's problems, but it keeps communities strong. When folks support local stores, the storefronts in turn support local non profit organizations.”
At the Collection, we heard, “This is a longtime Upper Valley tradition and a wonderful way for the community to come together and shop local and support an amazing cause.”

All around town, the little yellow signs were like bits of golden confetti, signs to locals and visitors that this is a community that cares and believes keeping local dollars locals makes all of us stronger.

On a rainy day in December, it was nice to feel the heat from White River Junction.

Tomorrow stories will come from cereal, jam, tuna, soup, and other items...

19-5=14 to go!
