Zamboni breaks down again; sorry, skaters!

Submitted a year ago

Hartford Parks & Recreation Patrons,

We thought our Zamboni problems were solved. However, after the Curling Clinic tonight, the Zamboni made one pass along the boards and lost all power and fuel. For the second time this weekend, we had to tow the Zamboni off the ice.

After several hours of diagnosis, we are still unable to determine the problem. Here is what we are planning for Sunday, December 3rd.

All ice activities have been cancelled. This includes ice sales, public skating and UVHA games.

We are hopeful to arrange pick up of a loaner zamboni through Campion Rink. Details are still in the works and we will not have confirmation until Sunday morning.

Our Zamboni is scheduled for a detailed diagnosis of the fuel and electrical systems on Monday, December 4th. It is our hope that we either have our Zamboni back into service or we plan to have the loner Zamboni in service for Monday,

Please stay up to date right here on Hartford Parks & Recreation Facebook Page or feel free to give us a call at 802-295-5036.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused our skaters and renting customers.

Sincerely,
Hartford Parks & Recreation
