Both drivers reported having a green light
WHITE RIVER JUNCTION - A crash right underneath the traffic lights on the Vermont side of the bridge leading from West Lebanon to White River Junction snarled traffic right at rush hour late Wednesday afternoon.
No one was seriously hurt but police were working to sort out who was at fault after both drivers claimed to have had the green light to proceed.
A New Hampshire pickup truck headed for the bridge from downtown White River Junction struck the driver side door of a small car that had just left the LISTEN center parking lot and was turning left toward the nearby railroad trestle.
Traffic backed clear up the hill into West Lebanon as emergency services responded and checked out both drivers and the passenger in the car who had just been picked up by his fiancé from his job at LISTEN.
