Good Neighbor Health Clinic: Giving Local
Black Friday, Cyber Monday (or Cider Monday as it was known in parts of the Upper Valley), Giving Tuesday. Sit back and take a breath, but not for long. The 2nd annual silent auction at the Good Neighbor Health Clinic can help you give AND shop AND keep it local. You can expect to find art, books, "overly difficult puzzles," and brunch opportunities.

How to bid: You can stop in at the Clinic on Main Street in White River Junction, VT to view and bid on items furnished by local artists and businesses anytime this week (November 27 to December 1) from 8 am to 4 pm. OR, you can browse the catalog online as of Wednesday, November 29. Eula Lee Kozma, the Clinic's Development Director, stands ready to receive bids via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 802-295-1868. BUT the real fun, and best way to get a winning bid, is at the closing night party this Friday, December 1 at the Clinic, 5 to 7 pm, timed to coincide with White River Junction's First Friday celebration.
I have not seen the entire catalog but am loving this hand-hooked pillow.
For over 25 years, the Good Neighbor Health Clinic has been the medical safety net for residents of the Upper Valley, and provides over a million dollars of needed services. Local doctors, dentists, and medical students volunteer to provide needed services. Proceeds of the auction will cover operational expenses, as well as the costs of prescriptions, eyeglasses, and dental and medical supplies.
