A How-To Guide for Using the Local First Alliance Directory

The Local First Alliance business directory contains contact information, locations, and details of Local First Alliance business members. The directory is searchable by different categories including type of business and zip code, making it easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

To access the LFA directory, visit the Vital Communities website and go to the Local First Alliance page then scroll down to find the light blue bar that says find a local business. Click the drop down arrow next to Search By... to search for specific businesses or areas, or click submit to be brought to the full list of businesses. 

Once you are in the Local First Alliance directory you will see a map with the listed businesses organized by their number on the list and spread throughout the Upper Valley at their correct address. The businesses are listed out underneath the map with an option to see more details.


The directory is in alphabetical order. At any point while using the directory you can adjust what you are searching for and go back to the full list of businesses. When you click on a business to see more details it will look like the image below, and to minimize the details click the Less Details button.

The Local First Alliance directory is a useful resource and acts as a sort of local Google search but where you know each business and organization listed is truly local and making a positive impact in the Upper Valley.
