In preliminary budget discussions, the Norwich School Board decided on November 1 to budget based on 289 students attending Marion Cross School next year. The is is a decline from 297 students today. At 289, MCS may need one less classroom teacher. However, this savings may be offset by need to hire more specialists on a part time basis. The next Norwich School Board meeting is December 6. The budget presentation is set for January 11.
