The next household hazardous waste collection day is this coming Saturday, October 21 at the Lebanon Waste Facility at 370 Plainfield Road (Route 12A South).

This service is free to residents from Claremont, Cornish, Enfield, Goshen, Hanover, Lebanon, Lempster, Lyme, New London, Newbury, Newport, Orford, Piermont, Plainfield, Springfield, Sunapee, Unity, Washington and Wilmot. Other residents and businesses welcome for a fee. Anyone with 25 gallons or more must have pre-registered 3 weeks in advance.

What to bring: pesticides and herbicides; flea powder; antifreeze; dirty gas and kerosene; adhesives and driveway sealers; household cleaners and polishes; hobby and pool chemicals; oil-based paint; solvents; varnishes and stains; button, Ni-Cad, Lithium and re-chargeable batteries; smoke detectors . . . and much more.
