Annual Turkey Trot - November 19 - Runners of all ages can celebrate Autumn by participating in this fun, family-friendly race. Prizes awarded and all runners are eligible for raffle items donated by local vendors. Registration is from 11:30-12:45 or you can register here.  Race time is 1:00 pm. $20 registration fee. Race starts and finishes on the Hanover Green. Bring an item to the Turkey Trot Food Drive and receipt an extra raffle ticket. Look at the 10K race course here.

Basketball Coaches Needed

Please let us know if you're interested in coaching basketball. Without community volunteer coaches, our programs could not run.

Upcoming Programs/Classes

Pilates for Everyone. Pilates is a mat class which follows a progression of exercises designed to promote, strength, balance and flexibility to the postural muscles (abdominals, buttocks and lower back). The technique is excellent for anyone who wishes to move with more power, grace and less trauma to their body. Classes are offered at the Richard W. Black Community Center on Mondays from 8-9 am and Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30-9:30 am. There is an intermediate class on Wednesday mornings from 7:30-8:15 am.  You can purchase classes in blocks of 10, 20 or 30. 20 classes costs $300 for Hanover residents and $310 for non-residents. All classes are taught by Susan Burke, a Second Generation Pilates Master Trainer. What are you waiting for?

Clay & Kids. Children an get their hands dirty and make some great creations at the same time in Clay & Kids classes. Kids will gain a basic understanding of the ceramic process and learn to glaze, decorate their work and throw pots on the wheel. The next session runs from October 24-November 28. Classes are held in Richard W. Black Community Center in room 214. The 6-week session costs $75 for Hanover residents and $85 for non-residents. The instructor os Ara Cardew. Register here.
