Rewarding opportunity in Wilder, VT, for a caring and mature individual who would enjoy sharing a house and making a HOME for an engaging, high-functioning 31-year-old male with Down syndrome. Seeking a live-in provider who will be part of a home support team. Support includes supervision of many aspects of daily living and activities: budgeting, grocery shopping, managing schedule, as well as providing some transportation. This gentle young man has a great sense of humor, loves to learn, and enjoys music, movies and community activities. He is employed outside the home and appreciates opportunities to be active and busy. House is situated in quiet neighborhood with backyard. In addition to full-time housing, provider will be compensated for hours worked (12-15 hours per week). Skills and experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required. Training provided.
