We purchased this "fixer upper" last fall in the hopes of a father and son renovation. However, once we started digging in to the body of the Scout we found that the vehicle was a complete LEMON and was patched together with everything from duct tape to fiber glass to zip ties. It was a complete disappointment. So we took the Scout to our friends at Shaker Valley Auto and it's been getting "rebuilt" for the past 6 months. Every crap fix has been redone to perfection. Here's a couple of the fixes: chassis has been reinforced and welded with all new angle iron, new fabrication of gas tanks, brackets, braces, engine mounts, inside fenders (front and back), all new metal for floor boards and cab, every inside hidden sheet metal surfaces have been ground, rust removed or replaced with new sheet metal. The Shaker Valley Team has done it right! Also, new front quarter panels, new bushings with 3 inch lift, larger tires, etc, etc. Over $7000 in body frame work done! The Scout is still on the rack being put back together for the road. What's not done is the exterior "pretty" parts. It will need new windshield wiper motors, paint and some random detail. I've done all the hard work for you and it will be ready for purchase in about 2 weeks. All I'm looking for is to recoup my money I've put into it. This is a heck of a bargain. Finished Scout 800's go for over $20 grand. My lack of time for a Scout restoration is your gain. Let me know if you're interested in taking a look. It drives great....engine, brakes and running gear fully inspected by Robert's Auto in Lebanon. This Scout is no longer a lemon.....it's a solid off-road 4x4.- Removable hard top- Removable doors- Full truck service manual
