We have completely lost patience with our Comcast broadband service and would REALLY REALLY like to switch to ECFiber ( http://www.ecfiber.net ) but ECFiber won't run up Turnpike Road until they have enough committed subscribers to justify the expense.
If you are a little tired of Comcast yourselves and would consider switching to a genuinely local company that
1) doesn't collect and sell your usage data to advertisers ( https://www.xfinity.com/corporate/legal/privacystatement.html );
2) doesn't spend millions lobbying Congress to undermine net neutrality ( http://time.com/3579332/comcast-obama-net-neutrality/ ) ( https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2017/06/dont-be-fooled-comcast-pr-machine-it-has-always-opposed-open-internet ); and
3) isn't introducing data caps ( https://www.xfinity.com/support/internet/data-usage-exceed-usage/ ) to charge for "overages"
please drop me a line and we'll see if there's enough interest to convince ECFiber Turnpike Road is ready for fiber optic web access.
