Urgent Need for Blood and Platelet Donations following Hurricane Harvey Aftermath
Hurricane Harvey has impacted the ability of many blood collection centers within the flood stricken areas to collect blood or host blood drives. As a result, D-H’s regional blood suppliers may not be able to fulfill standing orders for critically needed blood and platelets due to the impact of Hurricane Harvey.
The D-H Blood Donor Program is calling on community members of the Upper Valley and surrounding areas to make an appointment to donate blood or platelets over the next few weeks to ensure that we have an adequate blood supply to meet the needs of our patients.
This is a good time to support our local blood supply while resources are being directed to those impacted of the hurricane. You can schedule your appointment on-line at Donateblood.D-H.org, or call 603-653-3775.
The D-H Blood Donor Program is located on the main Lebanon campus within the Norris Cotton Center, Level 2 directly below the outpatient Pharmacy. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are appreciated.
