Randolph man's Route 14 crash results in DUI charge
License was under suspension too
RANDOLPH, VT - A single-vehicle crash just before 3 a.m. on Saturday morning landed a Randolph man in the hospital and then in the Springfield jail for the remainder of the night on a hold-until-sober order.
Peter Payette, 49, is being charged with drunk driving - second offense - and with driving despite a license that was under suspension, Vermont State Police Trooper Sam Wood reported.
Trooper Wood said that Payette had been headed south on Route 14 in Randolph when he rolled his Dodge Challenger.
Payette has been cited to answer the charges on September 6th at the Orange County Courthouse in Chelsea.
