July 30

At 1:30 a.m. a 46-year-old man consumed a lot of alcohol and was unconscious.

At 8:56 a.m. a 69-year-old woman called about back pain radiating into her leg.

At 11:21 a.m. a bicycle was reported stolen from a back porch on River Street. It had a special seat and handlebars on it.

At 6:11 p.m. a woman called to say her child’s stepmother had just been murdered and the whereabouts of the father were unknown.

At 10 p.m. police responded to the same home as above to provide protective detail due to a threat from the woman’s ex who is wanted in connection with a Mississippi homicide.

July 31

At 5:04 p.m. police responded to a burglar alarm at Ferro Jewelers. The owners had been having issues with the jewellery case.

At 8:55 a.m. police responded to Carlton Hill to help an injured porcupine.

At 5 p.m. police responded to a gas leak at a residence on Rose Hill Road.

At 6:17 p.m. a woman on Highland Avenue said someone had been putting grass seed, birch bark and pine needles in her mailbox.
