Olympic Gold Medalist Visits Woodstock
Five-time Olympic medalist Nastia Liukin paid a visit to Woodstock this past weekend.
Liukin, the former gymnast and Dancing with the Stars competitor, posted photos of her Vermont getaway on Instagram. She and a friend from college stayed at the Woodstock Inn and Resort and set off sightseeing all over the area. There were no balance beams, but Liukin did test her balance by climbing rocks near a river.
She also shopped and ate downtown.
Liukin posted photos of oatmeal she ate at Soulfully Good. She went to Chef Brad's Crazy Side in Quechee to grab a burger. She had an almond milk latte at Mon Vert Cafe and mint oreo ice cream at Mountain Creamery.
Liukin also went shopping at 37 Central Clothiers, where she bought a T-shirt that says Woodstock to remember her trip by.
Liukin blended in with the crowd for the most part.
37 Central Clothiers Manager Kayla Thibodeau didn’t recognize Liukin until after she had left the store.
“I guess her friend was with her and (she said) nobody recognized her around here,” Thibodeau said.
