Two Abandoned Vehicles Reported In Norwich

At 8:26 a.m. a business owner reported two vehicles have been left in their parking lot for several months. Attempts to contact owners have been unsuccessful. An abandoned vehicle report has been initiated.

At 3:39 p.m. police responded to a disabled vehicle at the intersection of Turnpike Road.


July 19

At 11:59 a.m. police assisted a Hartford officer as she investigated a possible theft on Depot Street.


At 12:19 p.m. police arrested a 54-year-old man who was caught driving with a suspended license on Route 10A. The man was also caught driving and talking on his cellphone.


July 20

At 10:28 a.m. police conducted foot patrol.


At 4:25 p.m. a man reported a possible internet scam. The man said someone contacted his wife about a job in the White River area. He said the woman wanted to get his wife on the payroll and asked for her banking information to deposit $3,000.

July 21

At 5:42 p.m. a woman brought in a set of keys that had been found at Prime Subaru in Norwich.


July 22

At 2:11 p.m. a woman called police to report a dog that had wandered onto her property. Police brought the dog to the vet. The owner later called police and picked up the dog.
