A Real Old Fashioned Fourth of July
These remarkable photographs of Bradford, Vermont's July 4 parade were taken in 1909 by White River Junction studio photographer. Not much is known about Fellows except that he owned studios in Royalton, Claremont and White River Junction. The photographs he made outside his studio images of show ordinary life in the Upper Valley from the late 19th and early 20th century. Fellow's White River Junction studio closed when he died in 1916. Dartmouth's Rauner Library has a collection of more than 1,000 glass plates of Fellows work.
