The Best Thing About Summer: ICE CREAM
Hot Fudge, Sunlight, and Sprinkles!
When the sun is out and the air is still, the best thing to
do is get ice cream! Nothing compares to the feeling of the warmth on your back
and the taste of velvety ice cream on your tongue. It is a staple of summer
happiness. Some things are just required parts of being a human on a hot summer
day. Here are some of my favorite places
to get ice cream in the Upper Valley.
Newt’s Ice Cream
White River Junction, Vermont
They make hot fudge sundaes of different sizes, which is perfect for someone like me who dairy isn’t always best friends with. I’m a firm believer that hot fudge makes everything better. They offer plenty of parking, which is refreshing for White River. Walking distance from downtown!
Lebanon, New Hampshire
Right near downtown old Lebanon, near the green, makes for a nice place to grab a cone with friends and take a brisk walk by the river. Peppermint is my all-time favorite from Dairy Twirl. They offer dipped waffle cones too, which are to die for.
Claremont, New Hampshire
This place is right on route to downtown. A great stop before or after dinner in Claremont. They make their own specialty sundaes, which blow your mind! I had the grasshopper one on my last encounter, which was a mint base with lots of overflowing hot fudge with cookie pieces.
Please add your favorite places to get ice cream too! I LOVE trying new places in the Upper Valley!
