Some in Woodstock woke up without water on Monday morning.
A broken pipe caused about 20 homes along Golf Ave and Maple Street to lose water Sunday around 9:30 p.m.
The pipe started to leak on Saturday and finally "blew up" on Sunday, said Eric Wegner, president of the Woodstock Aqueduct Company.
The Woodstock Aqueduct Company worked through the morning to find the break and fix it.
Many of Woodstock's pipes are old. The pipe that broke on Monday could be dated to 1898, Wegner said. Whenever pipes break, the Woodstock Aqueduct Company uses a "Band-Aid" --a stainless steel clamp over any holes.
