UPDATE: Missing Lebanon man found dead in central Massachusetts

Was last seen Monday morning in Massachusetts

LEBANON - Authorities in Berlin, Massachusetts say that a body found in their town Tuesday is that of a missing  Lebanon, New Hampshire man.

    "The Worcester County, Massachusetts, District Attorney’s Office is now handling this case," the Lebanon Police Department said in a statement Wednesday afternoon, "Any further information concerning Mr. White will be released via their office.  We appreciate the public’s help in attempting to locate Mr. White and send our sincere condolences to his family."

    Shannon White, 41, of Lebanon was last seen during the early hours of Monday morning at the Hampton Inn in Marlboro, Massachusetts.

    Police say that he left the hotel driving a 2014 gray Honda Accord with New Hampshire Veteran's plate "HIRUM" and was believed to be heading back to Lebanon.

    White is described as 5-foot-7 inches tall, 140 pounds, with hazel eyes and salt & pepper hair.

    He was last seen wearing dark pants and a light blue dress shirt.

    Anyone who may have seen Mr. White or his vehicle is asked to contact the Lebanon Police Department at (603) 448-1211.
