Hartford's Jordy Allard no hits Rutland
Canes win 3-0 to improve to 9-3

Prior to Friday nights game against Rutland, Hartford's Jordy Allard had thrown 2 complete game 2 hitters and 1 complete game 1 hitter this season. On a windy, chilly evening at Maxfield, Allard was nearly perfect throwing a complete game no hitter against a Raider team that beat the Canes in Rutland last week.
Hartford got all the offense they would need in a 3 run first inning featuring a 2 run triple by Allard. Tyler Hamilton got the rally started with a double into the left center field gap and advanced to third on Dylan Spencer's single to right. Allard drove them both in when he lashed a first pitch triple into right center. Allard then scored on an Austin Gaudette single to give the Canes their 3-0 lead after 1 inning.
Allard handled the rest as he mowed down the first 9 Raider hitters on just 28 pitches while striking out 6. The only batter to reach base officially was lead off hitter Dalton Hotchkiss who made it to first on a dropped infield pop up but he was erased after a brief run down when he rounded the bag too far. After that, Allard retired 19 straight before an infield error and walk in the 7th gave the Raiders some hope. But that hope was soon extinguished when Allard fanned Raider second baseman Luke Vitagliano on a 2-2 fastball to end the game and give Allard his first career no hitter.
Rutland pitcher Zack Bates, after struggling in the first inning, settled down and allowed no runs on 4 hits over the last 5 innings he pitched.
Category 5 Hurricane Player of the Game: Pitcher Jordy Allard. The senior flame thrower had 15 strikeouts and only walked 1 while also adding a triple, 2 RBI's and a run scored.
On the season, Allard's pitching line is a ridiculous 6-0, 32.1 IP, 1R, 5H, 59 K's 0.28 ERA
