On May 8th, 2017, the Vermont Drug Task Force conducted a search warrant at 33 Union Street in the Town of Springfield. The search warrant was issued after Detectives allegedly conducted numerous controlled purchases of heroin from the owner of the residence. The search warrant **turned up a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, said law enforcement.

The owner of the residence, Danielle Garceau, 37, was arrested for sale of heroin (3) counts, selling/dispensing of narcotics on school grounds (3) counts, and violation of conditions of release (2) counts. While conducting the search of the residence Detectives noticed numerous health violations. State and local fire inspectors conducted an inspection of the residence and deemed the house uninhabitable.

The remaining defendants were processed at the Springfield Police Department and Chester Police Department. Most defendants were issued criminal citations to appear at the Windsor County Superior Court of Vermont, Criminal Division on the dates and times noted above. Two defendants were lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility for a lack of bail. State arrest warrants were issued for two defendants who are no longer in the area.
