Drug Raid at Tattoo Parlor
Investigation began this spring
BELLOWS FALLS, VT - Detectives from the Vermont Drug Task Force say they were able to walk in during regular business hours and buy cocaine from the owner of a Bellows Falls tattoo parlor and his girlfriend, both of whom were arrested Friday following a raid on the business.
Alexander Lawrence, 45, and Samantha Landry, 24, were both arrested Friday, processed at the Westminster State Police Barracks and released with citations to answer charges at the Windham County Courthouse at a later date.
Police said the search warrant that was executed Friday right in the heart of downtown Bellows Falls at the Mountainside Tattoo and Piercing Shop turned up two handguns as well as quantities of cocaine, marijuana, and butane hash oil. A small indoor marijuana growing operation was also discovered in a back room at the business, investigators reported.
Landry is facing a felony count alleging sale of cocaine while Lawrence is charged with sale of cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and cultivation of marijuana.
