Mother’s Day and plants always seem to go together, not to mention buffets! This weekend in the Upper Valley is full of those things.
I’m skipping the usual Mother’s Day buffet this year and taking my mom to a horse show in Woodstock. Here’s to hoping the expected rain holds off this Sunday! How are you celebrating your mom (or the motherly figure in your life)?
Here’s some events that might interest you:
LEARN FROM THE MASTERS PLANT SALE
The Windsor County Master Gardeners invite you to join the Fundraiser Plant Sale, which is being held on Saturday. The sale will feature a wide variety of flower and vegetable plants donated by Master Gardeners and Master Gardener students. Master Gardeners will be on hand to advise customers on plant characteristics, growing requirements, and plant selection.
Come support local artisans for the 3rd Annual Spring Craft Fair! Bag lunches will be available for sale for $5.
RHUBARB & GINGER CHUTNEY COOKING CLASS
9:30 AM OR 2PM
This original variety was a “customer favorite” at Blake Hill’s booth at the local Farmer’s Markets. Learn to cook some of the earliest fresh local rhubarb with Vermont apples, ginger, and a hint of warming spices. This blend is light and fresh with reduced sugar, and perfectly paired with classic cheddar or a nice creamy goat cheese.
HANOVER SPRING CLEANS TOWN WIDE YARD SALE
Bring your family & friends for a great day of bargain hunting and providing new homes for surplus stuff.
MOTHER’S DAY PHOTOS
Mother's Day photos are offered in conjunction with Fireside Inn's Mother's Day buffet. Stop by the lobby for Mother's day photos ranging from $10 up printed on the spot with folders. Treat mom to her own photo, or take a group family photo together!
CELEBRATE MOM AT SILO
This Sunday at SILO come celebrate mom with live music from Acoustic Moxley Union, Bloody Marys, and delicious homemade quiche and salads. Relax on our new patio and enjoy your Sunday!
