Lebanon man accused of sexually assaulting teen girl
Jailed for lack of bail following weekend arrest
LEBANON, NH - A Lebanon man is facing an aggravated sexual assault charge and has been jailed for lack of $10,000 cash bail following his arrest over the weekend at the conclusion of a police investigation into allegations first reported to authorities three weeks ago.
Francisco Lino, 29, of Parkhurst Street was arraigned Monday at the Grafton Superior Court on both the felony charge and an accompanying misdemeanor count of simple assault.
Lebanon Police said they received a report from Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont back on April 10th that an 18-year-old woman was being treated there in the wake of a sexual assault that had allegedly occurred at Lino's residence in Lebanon the night beforehand.
The young woman told investigators that she had gone to Lino's residence with friends and while there "Lino slapped her several times across the face and used force to make her perform sexual acts," Lebanon Police reported, adding "(The putative victim) told investigators that she told Lino to stop several times and that the assault ended after a male friend heard the slapping and was able to assist her."
Police said that once they were able to complete their interviews with the witnesses and evaluate the information gathered they applied for an arrest warrant for Lino which led to his being taken into custody.
