What’s Stressing You Out?
Remember that once you figure out what is causing your stress, then you can take steps to decrease those feelings of stress. And we know that stress isn’t caused by something that happens to or around us. Stress is caused by how we react to those things.
After you've kept a Stress Diary for about a week, you can analyze it and start to take action to change the way you interact with situations that cause you the feeling of being stressed.
“Hypnosis is the epitome of mind-body medicine. It can enable the mind to tell the body how to react, and modify the messages that the body sends to the mind.” – New York Times
Review Your Diary
Some of your behaviors which are provoked by stressful situations will be repeated on a regular basis. Make a list of the behaviors that you see most often. These will be the stressors in your daily life you will want to learn to reframe first.Next, look at what stressors caused those behaviors. Also, look at how well you managed them on a day-by-day basis. When you can identify areas where you want to change your response to stressful events better, list those.Note what events affected you the most compared to what events affected you the least. You can also get an idea of what stress level you can function best. Your goal now will be to lessen the stress in your life by managing how you react to stressful situations.
Hypnosis for stress can start to work in just a few sessions. By reprogramming the way you react to situations, you will feel more relaxed and confident in the situations that previously caused you to feel stressed. After learning more about your own stress, you and your hypnotist will design your sessions based on how you would like to feel and what you would like to do in life without stress holding you back.
