I love international food!  I'm not great at cooking it, but I love to eat it!  I particularly love Thai and Indian. You can see more about take-out options for international cuisine in the Upper Valley here.

We are so lucky to have such a wide array of international cuisine in the area.  Here's a list of international restaurants to try.

Spanish/Carribean

Candela Tapas Lounge is on Lebanon Street in Hanover. Oh my.  This looks wonderful!  I think the Pernil Tacos look tasty: pulled pork, plantains, orange and cilantro slaw. You can see more of their menu here.   They have a welcoming patio for outdoor dining and even do take out. They take reservations or walk ins. They are open for dinner Tuesday - Thursday 5 pm - 9:30 pm and Friday - Saturday until 10 pm.  See pictures of their food and learn more on their Facebook.

Melazza is on Central Street in Woodstock.  The guava glaze pork shank looks tasty.  You can find their menus here.  They are open Wednesday - Sunday at 5:30 pm.  You can see photos of their food and specials on their Facebook page.
Sunshine Cookstop is Jamaican style food in Claremont.  It is outside the Upper Valley, but I thought I should mention it because it gets rave reviews from locals and visitors alike.  One person even drives an hour just to go there. Another person liked it so much they had lunch and dinner there while visiting the area. People talk about how they like the curry, jerk chicken, and beef patties.  They also say the owner is super friendly.  It's on Pleasant St. between LaValleys and Tremont House of Pizza in a little yellow building. They are open Tuesday - Friday 11 am - 7 pm.

Noodle Station  is located on Lebanon Street in Hanover.  People talk about their spring rolls, bubble tea, amazing frozen yogurt, tasty noodles, wide selection, big portions and excellent service on their Facebook. I like that you can customize your order or try one of their combinations.  You can see their menu here. They are open from 11 am to 9 pm Mon. - Thurs. and open 'til 10 pm on Friday and Sat. Sunday they open at noon.  They are

Cambodian/Thai

Angkor Wat is located in Woodstock. Chey "Sunny" Tuckerman is the chef and I find his story of how he came to co-own and run Angor Wat truly inspirational, which you can read here.  They really are proud of their restaurant and want to make the dining experience wonderful for their customers; I was impressed at the steps they were willing to take to meet the needs of special dietary needs.  You can read more about the menu and experience here.  You can even see Sunny cook here.

Phnom Penh Sandwich Station NH on High Street in Lebanon just won best sandwich shop in NH!  They also offer Vietnamese and Thai menu options as well.  People rave about their pho (a Vietnamese soup). They're open Monday - Saturday 11 am - 9 pm.  They do take out only.  You can see a picture of their menu here.  Not sure what to order? People talk about their Pad Thai, ginger pork sandwich, lemongrass beef sandwich, dumplings, and summer rolls. Can't wait to try it!  Check out their food truck on the Lebanon (11 am - 3 pm) and Hanover (4 pm - 9 pm) greens Mon. - Sat.

Thai

Tuk Tuk is at the end of Main Street in Hanover (in an alley).  They put a sign out on the sidewalk to make this gem easier to find - yay!  It has a cozy atmosphere and I really love going there to eat.  I love their mango curry. They're open Monday - Thursday 11 am to 10 pm, Friday - Saturday 11 am - 10: 30, and Sunday 11:30 am - 9 pm.

Thai Orchid is on Main Street in Hanover upstairs above Starbucks and across from Molly's.  I love eating by the window and looking out over the street below.  It has a relaxing ambiance and I've enjoyed the food there.  If you like Vietnamese cuisine, they offer that too. They're open 11 am to 10 pm Monday - Thursday, Friday - Saturday until 10:30, and Sunday 12 pm - 9 pm.

Kata Thai Kitchen: You can eat in or take out at the Kata Thai Kitchen on Allen Street in Hanover.  They serve Thai and Vietnamese dishes. You can even order online.  The Pad Thai Crispy Chicken sounds tasty but so does the Pad See Ew; I don't know what I'd order.  They're open Monday - Thursday 11 am - 9 pm, Friday until 10 pm, Saturday 12 pm - 10 pm, and Sunday 12 pm - 9 pm.

Japanese/Korean

Sushiya is on Main Street in Hanover and is delicious! I've had the japchae and the bulgogi and loved them both.  Great service. Can't wait to go back again.  They are open seven days a week 11 am - 9:15 pm.

Yama is a local favorite for sushi and other entrees, evident by all the photos on the wall of happy customers enjoying their meals.  They really are a family friendly place; we felt comfortable with our one year old there. They are open Tuesday - Sunday 11  am to 10 pm. You can find them in West Lebanon on Main Street.

Italian

Three Tomatoes is right on the green in Lebanon.  You can see them cook and enjoy looking at the beautiful wood fired oven (at least I do).  It has a nice ambience and is devoted to sourcing ingredients locally when possible.  Definitely a place to check out for Italian.  Plus they have outdoor seating!

Stella's is located in Lyme and is another Italian restaurant that includes local ingredients into their meals. They cater to their customers' needs offering fully prepared meals and pizzas to go.  Other quick options are sitting at the bar or ordering take out from their menu.  You can also enjoy their cozy dining room for a nice meal out.  You can see pictures of their food and reviews here.

If you want to go a little ways out there's Colatina Exit in Bradford, VT that people really like.  It's been around since the 70s and people remember going there as a kid and still like going there as an adult. They're open 11 am to 9 pm Sunday - Thursday and open until 10 pm on Friday and Saturday.

Lui Lui's in the Powerhouse Mall plaza in West Leb. is a local Italian favorite. They're open Sunday - Thursday 11 am - 9:30 and until 10 pm Friday and Saturday.  A great place to bring the family or even a large group.

Cantore's in the Glen Road Plaza in West Leb. may be known for their great pizza but did you know they also have Italian entrees?  People love their lasagna.  You can find their menu here.  They're open 11 am - 9 pm seven days a week.  We've eaten here and enjoyed the food; they're the pizza place we go to in the Upper Valley.

Mexican

Gusanoz is located in the Miracle Mile Plaza in West Lebanon and open 11 am to 9 pm Sunday - Thursday, and 11 am to 10 pm Friday and Saturday.  I really enjoyed the food and generous portion sizes when I went there.  I wish they still did salsa dancing (unless this has changed...).

Boloco on Main Street in Hanover is a burrito shop.  If you're health conscious, they even provide you with nutrition and ingredient information online for all their products.  They're open seven days a week 11 am - 10 pm.  I bet this would be a good quick stop for lunch.

Revolution Cantina  is a place I like to go to eat.  The service is excellent and accomodating and the atmosphere is relaxed and inviting.  They're open Tuesday - Saturday 11:30 am - 9 pm and Sundays 10 am - 3 pm.  If you're traveling outside the Upper Valley and are in the Claremont area, check them out.  They are located on the rotatary at Tremont Square in Claremont.

Indian

Taj-E India is a well loved take out place in the Upper Valley.  They only do take out and it's delicious!  They're located on Sykes Ave. in White River Junction.  People's comments included: 'Super Yum,' 'SOOO good,' 'one of our go-to's,' and 'AMAZING.'  So if you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should. They're open everyday 11:30 am - 8 pm except Thursday 1 pm - 8 pm.

Nepalese

Base Camp Cafe is on Lebanon Street in Hanover.  The food looks delicious and unique: chili, curries, grilled items, or mo mo (dumplings) with different meats too like buffalo, wild boar, or goat.  There are a lot of vegan and vegetarian options too like jack fruit tarkari. I love the focus on healthy eating, not only in the ingredients, but also in the portions: sixty percent vegetables, thirty percent protein, and ten percent carbohydrate.  Cool!  I gotta try this place for take out or eat in. They're open Sunday - Thursday 11:00- 9:30 pm and Friday-Saturday until 10 pm.

Mediterranean

Tuckerbox is on Main St. in White River and people love to eat, drink, and socialize there.  It has a wonderful ambience! They offer Turkish cuisine to the Upper Valley.  I gotta try one of those kababs for dinner sometime.  They are open Tuesday - Thursday 7 am to 9 pm but are closed from 4 - 5 pm for dinner set up.  Friday and Saturday they're open unitl 10 pm.  Sunday they close at 4 pm.

Where do you find yourself returning to time after time?
