Wilder, VT- Tamar Kitzmiller, 62, died March 4, 2017 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, surrounded by her loving family.
Tamar was born October 2, 1954 in Fall River, MA, the daughter of Dovard and Virginia(Simcock) Jackson. She met her future husband John Kitzmiller in the summer of 1975 at Cragged Mountain Farm in Freedom, New Hampshire. They were married March 4, 1978 in Corvallis, OR. After Tamar was accepted to Dartmouth Medical School they moved to Woodstock, VT before settling in Norwich, VT where they raised their two children.
Tamar worked as lab technician at the Veterans Administration and Dartmouth College. Because she loved interacting with people she also held retail positions at Homescapes and the Hotel Coolidge.
Tamar volunteered for the Norwich Fire District, Marion Cross School, Good Neighbor Health Clinic, Planned Parenthood,
The Hartford Community Coalition, and she was a volunteer member of the WCA Manor board of directors.An avid conversationalist, Tamar enjoyed engaging considerately with all people.
She was a master of the New York Times crossword puzzle,
Enjoyed reading fiction, and cooking. She was a devoted mother and wife.
