The Sunapee Lakers beat the Littleton Crusaders in semifinals and the Woodsville Engineers in quarterfinals.

After a recent game, senior Laker Katie Frederick said the team prides itself on its defense. She attributed her team’s success partially to her coach to “really push us to be better athletes and better basketball players,” Frederick told YCN.

Coach Tim LaTorra has coached his team to a 103-6 record in five years. He said the team isn’t taking anything for granted. LaTorra had some advice for his athletes.

“Enjoy every moment, enjoy every opportunity, enjoy each other and don’t get too caught up in what the results are. Just try to soak in as much of it as you can,” he recently told YCN.
