The Thomsons, George and Sue, and their three children, Steve, Ali and Lauren, live in Westport, Connecticut, full-time, and have a second home here in Quechee. In the late 1990s, they were at a wedding in Woodstock and had some extra time. The Thomsons  had been looking at property in New Hampshire, but Sue had friends from high school who used to come to Quechee, so they decided to visit Quechee. A few weeks later, they came up for a ski weekend with their two young kids—Steve and Ali—and were hooked.
