In my previous photo essays of Thetford I documented North Thetford, Post Mills, Thetford Center, Thetford Hill, and East Thetford. In this post I cover the remaining villages of Rice's Mills and Union Village. As I said in the previous posts, these small villages are some of the most beautiful and picturesque in the Upper Valley. Each one has its own distinct look and feel. But they all share rich history, lovely landscapes, beautiful New England architecture, and enough roads and trails for a lifetime of exploring.

If you would like to see my photos in person, I currently have four prints at Long River Gallery in White River Junction. I also have a new show at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in the gallery on Level 4 in the Williamson Translational Research Building. The show includes fourteen large acrylic face mounted prints (up to 30"x45") of landscape and nature. You can preview the show at: http://www.sethharpergoodwin.com/DHMC-Gallery/.

Now, here are my new Thetford images. The following were taken in Rice's Mills.

The next set of images were taken in Union Village, which includes portions of Thetford and Norwich. The town line image below looks into Thetford and toward the iconic Union Village covered bridge. Pictures of the covered bridge are also below.
On the other side of the town line sign, in the Norwich portion of Union Village, stands a remarkable church. I wanted to include photos of the church because it is so elegant and beautiful. It's also a vital landmark, gathering place, and anchor for all of Union Village.
