Four-year-old assaulted in Claremont
Police charge suspect with Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault
CLAREMONT, NH - Police in Claremont arrested a 21-year-old local resident on Thursday as the result of an investigation that began last week when a four-year-old child reported that they had been sexually assaulted.
Kenneth Claflin of Claremont was charged with Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, which is a Class “A” felony in New Hampshire.

Claremont Police said their investigation began on Saturday and was conducted in conjunction with the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youths and Families and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth Hitchcock's Child Advocacy Center.
Claflin was arraigned in the Claremont District Court on Thursday where cash bail was set at $10,000 dollars before he was transported to the Sullivan County House of Corrections in Unity for lack of bail.
The prosecution of this case will be handled by the Sullivan County Attorney’s Office. Mr. Claflin is scheduled to appear on February 9, 2017 at 1:00 PM for a probable cause hearing.
