West Lebanon man run over and killed at Nashua crash scene
Crash was just a few miles north of the Massachusetts border
NASHUA, NH - A West Lebanon man was run over and killed Sunday morning after he stepped out of his car at a crash scene on the F. E. Everett Turnpike in Nashua.
Bao Ming Chen, 44, of West Lebanon was headed southbound at Mile Marker 4.2 in the town of Nashua at approximately 7:45 a.m. on Sunday morning when he slowed down due to a traffic incident in front of him, New Hampshire State Police Trooper First Class Michael Pelletier reported.
As Chen came to a stop, his red 2016 Acura MDX was rear-ended by Samantha Cote, 23, of Merrimack who was driving a white 2008 Ford Focus, Trooper Pelletier explained.
Chen then stepped out of his car and was struck by George Roeschlaub of Hudson who was driving a red 2004 Acura RSX.
Chen suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.
Cote sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Roeschlaub was not hurt.
In addition to state police, the Nashua Police responded to assist at the scene along with Nashua Fire and Rescue and the New Hamsphire Department of Transportation.
The crash investigation is being handled by the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Unit (C.A.R. Unit).
