Lebanon Police Arrest Three Suspects in Shoplifting Spree
On December 20, 2016 at approximately 5:37PM, Lebanon Police Patrol Units responded to JCPenneys for a report of three females who had just shoplifted property from the store. Witnesses on scene were able to provide information on the vehicle the females had left in.
Lebanon Police Officers located the vehicle and the three female suspects a short time later in West Lebanon. Investigation into the incident led to the discovery of stolen property from JCPenney, Tractor Supply and Eastern Mountain Sports for a total combined value of approximately $2,100. The suspects were identified as:
Cheryl Barrows, age 51, of Salisbury, VT
Nora Newton, age 45, of Leicester, VT
Mary Newton, age 47, of Brandon, VT
All three were arrested and charged with three counts of Receiving Stolen Property, which are Class B Felony level offenses. Nora Newton was held on $2,500 cash bail and will be arraigned in the Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court today, December 21, 2016. Mary Newton and Cheryl Barrows were both held on $5,000 cash bail and will be arraigned in the Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court, today, December 21, 2016.
