Hello everyone, the hunting season has been progressively speeding by. Starting tomorrow Vermont Muzzleloader season will be open! Also along with Muzzleloader season we have our second part of Bow season. What are you shooting? I will personally be going out with my crossbow. I wish I could bow hunt with a compound like my husband but due to a neck injury in my youth I am unable to. My crossbow is my partner on my hunts. I enjoy shooting her even when all I can do is target shoot in the summers. Usually due to health reasons I don't go out for this season and I usually try to tag out during the open of bow and rifle. Unfortunately I didn't get to hunt bow season this year. So here I am heading out in our wonderful cold yet brown winter. My husband is actually going to be muzzleloading this year which he has never done. He has also decided he would like me try so now I have a muzzloader on the Christmas list. :) What do you shoot? What would you recommend?
I am hoping that the muzzleloader season will go better than rifle season. I saw some great bucks that were brought home during the season and my husband was lucky to be along those few. I also heard from many that they weren't seeing the deer move like they usually do. I assume it may have something to do with the up and down weather we seem to be having. Now that the cold has settled in I hope they will be more likely to move around a bit. Here's hoping that everyone has a great season. I'll be back with more on the hunt tomorrow!
