Black Friday Basketball Clinic for Kids
Fun, Free Opportunity at Dartmouth College
There always seems to be some Dartmouth student athletes that are more comfortable than others when working with local kids. Community events like youth clinics are great for observing. One of my favorite exchanges was watching Connor Boehm, a men's basketball player that graduated from the College in 2016, demonstrate how to be on the receiving end of a charge. To see him, and then rotation after rotation of young basketball players flopping on the ground in a fun and totally exaggerated way always put a smile on my face. He connected with the kids, was obviously having fun, and that excitement transferred to the kids he interacted with. Those excited kids then wanted to come back and cheer on their favorite college players in games. [Pro tip: save some $$$ and sign up your 8th grade or younger child(ren) in the Dartmouth Team Green Kids Club to get into every men's and women's basketball game for free!]
The Dartmouth men's and women's basketball teams invite all boys and girls in grades 6 and below to a free youth basketball clinic at Leede Arena on Friday, November 25 from 2-3:30 p.m. Admission is FREE and each participant will receive a voucher good for free admission to one men's game and one women's game. You can register for this free clinic online at this link.
