Day Trip Idea: Holiday Craft Fairs This Weekend
I was looking on the Valley News for things to do and was surprised at just how many holiday craft fairs there were!
This sounds like a fun thing to do with the family, do some local holiday shopping, or buy some items to decorate your home.
Most start at 9 and end at either 2 or 3.
North of Lebanon
There's a Holiday Bazaar at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in White River Junction at 749 Hardford Ave. This bazaar has a luncheon too for a small fee.
Just a hop skip and a jump away is the Greater Hartford Christmas Bazaar at United Church of Christ on Rt. 14 in Hartford. This bazaar includes lots of fun: craft vendors, a cookie walk, luncheon, coffee and donuts in the morning, and a silent auction.
There's a Christmas Bazaar in Enfield at St. Helena Church Hall on 36 Shaker Hill Road in Enfield that includes a cookie walk, kids' make and take, breakfast and luncheon.
Hanover Cookie and Craft Fair at Hanover Center Church at 6 Parade Ground Rd.
Sharon has a Holiday Craft Fair and Farmer's Market at the Sharon Elementary School on Rt. 132. You'll find crafts and kids activities. Lunch is also available for a small fee.
Make your way North to Chelsea and there's a holiday market with local craft vendors, snacks, and hot chocolate at the school gymnasium on 6 School St.
South of Lebanon
Cornish has a Holiday Bazaar too at the Cornish School Gym on 274 Town House Road. There's a quilt raffle and craft vendors. Lunch is available too.
Plainfield has a Christmas Bazaar at the town hall on 12A. There are raffles, door prizes, crafts, and fudge (my favorite!). You can grab some lunch while shopping too.
Enjoy grilled cheese! The Windsor Craft Fair has food like soup and donuts, as well as crafters and vendors selling their goods. Find this fair at the Windsor Recreation Center at 29 Union St.
Check out the Newport Craft Sale at the Library Arts Center on Main St. in Newport. This is a craft show where you can shop 100 local artisans. This craft fair opens at 10.
Happy holiday shopping!
