Halloween is right around the corner! At the Norwich Public Library, we're continuing our dusk pumpkin-lighting tradition...but we're also starting something new this year: Trunk or Treat.
Wait--Trunk or Treat? You heard right: Trunk or Treat is a great way to gather lots of Halloween fun into a small, easily walkable area. We'll reserve our parking lot for the festivities, and community members stocked up with treats will deck out their cars with spooky adornments. Kids can go from car to car to collect their goodies, and we'll have hot coffee and cider on hand for the adults. It's great for families with young children, households that live too far out to be part of the town's trick-or-treating fun, or even non-profit organizations that want to scare up more visibility for their cause.
We'll be holding our first Trunk or Treat at 4:00 p.m. on October 31st. Come as you are, or in a fantastically decorated car! Still having trouble picturing it? You can get an idea of what Trunk or Treat looks like here.
Space is limited! If you're interested in hosting a car at Trunk or Treat, please visit, call, or email the library by October 18th to let us know.
