Hazardous materials teams assist with the mess
RYEGATE, VT - For the third time in as many months, police have zeroed in on a meth lab in or around the town of Ryegate near the Vermont/New Hampshire border.
Daniel Roy, 28, of Ryegate was arrested Friday along with Jason Davidson, 32, of neighboring Woodsville, New Hampshire. The pair are due in Caledonia County Criminal Court on Monday to answer felony charges alleging that they have been manufacturing methamphetamine.

Vermont State Police troopers from the St. Johnsbury and Bradford barracks were first tipped off to the possibility that a meth lab was operating at 375 Boltonville Road in Ryegate during the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday morning and they set about obtaining a search warrant, Trooper Jason Haley reported.

On Friday police showed up along with the Vermont HazMat Team, the Vermont Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team, and the Vermont Clandestine Lab Team to execute the search warrant while the Wells River Fire Department and an ambulance from New Hampshire stood by just in case.
Roy and Davidson are being held at the Northeastern Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 and $35,000 bail respectively while they await their arraignments on Monday.
