650 Miles Per Second:  In 1991 Norwich photographer Joe Mehling and renowned Arctic expert Oran Young clocked Santa's speed as he flew over Baker Tower in Hanover.  Don't believe it?  Mehling didn't either — at first.

"Frankly, I'm surprised the experiment worked. When Oran approached me, I thought he was out of his mind,"  Mehling told  Flight of the Reindeer author Robert Sullivan. Click here to see the full speed test.
