Yesterday's post, "Still Sore," recapped lingering acrimony between Norwich Selectboard members. It isn't pretty. But it could be worse. Much worse.
On June 10, a blog covering Orange, NH ran the headline "The Select Board Walks Out of Its Own Meeting." The blog reported that an argument broke out over the previous meeting's minutes and two of the three board members got up and left. A recording of the 6-minute-and-49-second meeting ends with someone saying, "I've never seen this in the 42 years I've lived in town."
By June 17th the entire board and the town treasurer had resigned. Grafton County Superior Court will appoint a new board on July 7th.
