Mindfulness seems to be particularly buzz-worthy these days, and for good reason: our lives seem so frenetic that keeping one's mind on the 'now' and, just as importantly, taking time out to take care of oneself, even if just for a little while, once in awhile, is paramount.
There are several avenues to explore, all this weekend:
The Norwich Congregational Church will host the program "Sacred Time, Sacred Space: Spiritual Renewal Through Music" featuring a concert, congregational singing and silence for personal reflection. Friday @ 7PM
White River Junction's Upper Valley Yoga will once again offer a once-a month, free, mixed-level yoga class. Friday @ 6PM
Starting Friday, T'ai Chi will be offered for free or by donation at Lyman Point Park in WRJ. All proceeds benefit Listen Community Services. Friday @ 6PM
Yoga Hikes, hosted by Artistree, is a meditative experience of yoga and creative expression while on the trail. Saturday @ 10AM
Shambhala Cafe welcomes families and children to their meditation center for coffee, tea, cocoa, and conversation to build community, to invigorate one's practice and to experience the simple pleasure of a shared morning. Stay for meditation at 10am if that works for you. Sunday @ 9AM
Now everyone, breathe deeply.
